Leaving the idea of the corporate parachute behind and trodding out into the frontier of work at home employment often leaves you with a feeling that you might have taken the old 9-5 for granted, with all of the perks that you did not even notice before, such as lower health insurance premium rates, seeming a little larger than before in scope. But there are a lot of perks that a person gets from working at home that make all of the rate cuts and set schedule consistancy pale in comparison. No workplace, no matter how hard they try, will ever be able to offer these benefits, unless thy allow work at home employment.
1. Gas savings- Unless the career you chose for your work at home employment requires you to drive daily, the gas savings that you get from not having to make your daily commute to the workplace can be worth some serious cash.
2. Time savings- Not getting in your car and driving to your job every day, you could instead use this time to add to your work prep time, work, or sleep in, the choice is yours. While time is money, money is also time. If you can comfortably make a living with work at home employment in your spare time, then every minute of your day has more value than working full time outside the home, wasting part of it unpaid.
3. Never having to go to work- If you find a niche interest and apply it to your work at home employment search, you can find a career that is not "work". While there will still be a lot of true work to do in order to be successful, it will be less of a burden on you due to the fact that you are working in an area that interests you, unlike working at "man in the box".
4. Power over income - While most people think that if you want to make more money then all you have to do is work harder, and while this might be true in the corporate world, it is not always the case with work at home employment. To make more money at your traditional employment, if you want more money, then you put in more work at the same rate, or even time and a half. The more hours you work, the more money you make. With so many offers on the Internet for work at home employment, you can always ask for more money or move on, without even finishing a cup of coffee.
